My Journey To The Dead Island
This is the true story of how finding a copy of Dead Island for the Xbox 360 is the equivalent to waking up in the morning and finding an actual zombie eating out of your refrigerator with your pants on and one of your beers in his hand. I decided after mixed reviews to take a gamble on Techlands/Deep Silver’s brain eating fest of a game. I was driven to the store feeling a mixture of excitement and anticipation, stories and possibilities at the thought of fending off zombies with some good friends floating around my head. I entered GAME to find that the last few copies of the game were being sold for £49.99! A whole £10 over what any game that is a non special edition should be.

Those of you who’ve read the Play Vault review of newly released Dead Island will know that it is definitely a mixed bag of undead nuts, with moments of gameplay brilliance hidden in a pile of buggy poorly-voiced debris. But what you may not know is that the first version gamers played, is apparently an early version never intended for release.
