Ellen McLain – best known as the voice of Portal’s GlaDOS – is to lend her talents to a new mystery Valve title.

That’s according to the the tweets of John Lowrie, McLain’s husband. Lowrie is himself also a voice actor, having provided voice work for the Half-life series.
Lowrie teased on the social networking site that the voice of GlaDos “is going in Tuesday for a new game and more Portal work”
It’s probably safe to assume that “more Portal work” has something to do with the free dlc that was promised for Portal 2 that will add more Test chambers to the co-op portion of the game.
So what could this mysterious new game be? It’s worth noting that McLain has also voiced characters in Half Life 2 and Team Fortress 2. With Team Fortress 2 having just gone free-to-play I personally cannot see them readying a sequel to that any time soon. So the smart money would be on something Half-Life related. Although who knows, this could be an entirely new franchise.
I just hope, that for my own mental well-being that it’s something to do with Half life 2: Episode 3. Or Half-life 3. Or Half-life vs. Portal, just give me something!
